Epic Counting

Epic Counting is a random idea that came to me to work on reading eighth notes and eighth rests. My band wasn't reading as well as I wanted, but the teaching routine was getting slightly dull. First, teach the counting sheet. You can teach it all together, divide the ensemble into groups, or even have students tap both lines at a time. After you have a decent level of mastery, you can play the accompanying track as seen be low. Have fun!
